What struck me as I read this passage again is the word “satisfied.” They ate and were satisfied. No one went home hungry, no one was sent away with bellies half-full, and everyone had enough to eat to feel satisfied.

The thing that stands out to me in this text is the woman’s incredible faith. She pursued Jesus, knowing she was one of the ‘least’ yet fully expecting Him to heal her daughter.
When it comes to sin, there is no room for compromise. Beliefs or habits that might appear innocuous but are clearly against God’s word can quickly become distractions or temptations that influence our walk with Christ.
It is oh so easy, when problems assail us, to wonder that very same thing. Where is Jesus in this mess, in this struggle, in this storm? He’s in the midst. He hasn’t taken His eyes off of you. Rather, He’s been watching you every second, urging you to press on.
Now, more than ever, our pastors need us to lift them before the throne of God. Their ministry – and your church – depends on it!
Though He gave the people of Nazareth chance after chance, they remained skeptical. They would not accept Jesus’ power and authority because of their preconceived beliefs.
Don’t settle for lukewarm. Live with purpose and with all your might. Keep your heart and mind fueled and aflame for God. What you invest in your spiritual walk will shore up your faith and strengthen you for the road ahead.
