“Anyone who wants to serve me must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.” John 12:26 NLT
Jesus never promised His disciples a life of wealth, health, and happiness. On the contrary, He called them to follow. The rub is that following always entails a certain amount of change. Margaret Feinberg states, “God is constantly on the move. I cannot stay where I am and follow God at the same time; responding requires movement.”
At times, God calls us to a physical relocation. Other times, He calls us to a personal or relational change. Whatever that ‘change’ might look like, be sure that God always takes notice. Our sacrifices are never in vain. The Father always honors and rewards those who are willing to follow Him with hearts and hands wide open.
