Welcome!

What Size is Your God?

O Sovereign LORD, you have only begun to show your greatness and the strength of your hand to me, your servant. Is there any god in heaven or on earth who can perform such great and mighty deeds as you do? Deuteronomy 3:24 (NLT)

We live in a society that tends to put people in boxes according to gender, age, race, skills, and education. From there, it’s easy to set limits as to their abilities or inabilities. We hear comments such as, “He can’t hold down that job because he’s too old” or “She can’t do a man’s job.” Doing so places a value (or lack of value) on lives and sets boundaries.

Sadly, many of us do the same with God. We diminish God to a size our finite minds can handle. We set limits on His ability to work wonders in the world, our country, our neighbor, our homes, and our lives. Those miracles He worked for the Israelites were pretty awesome, but He doesn’t do stuff like that nowadays, right? Wrong.

The God who parted the Red Sea is the same God who is able to do infinitely more than we can ever think or imagine. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing, and with just one word, He can change the course of history. Our mountain is nothing but a pebble to Him. Our Red Sea is merely a puddle. Our storms can be stilled with just two words from His lips; “Be still.”

Let me ask you a question; What size is your God?
