These words of wisdom were written by King Solomon over 3,000 years ago. Yet they still hold true today.
You can change a man’s appearance, just as a mortar and pestle mill grains of wheat into a coarse flour or a paste, but only God can change a man’s character and identity.
We were sinners, but through Christ – who was crushed for our iniquities (Isaiah 53:5) – we became saints.
We were estranged from God, but through Christ we were adopted as sons and daughters (Ephesians 1:5; Romans 8:15; Romans 8:23).
We were lost, but through Christ, we have been found.
