Tug of War
I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. Romans 8:18-19 (NLT) Autism-induced meltdowns are usually triggered by feeling overwhelmed. Young individuals with autism often have very little control over their …
Everlasting Father

Our Mediator
There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men. 1 Peter 2:5 (NIV) According to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEIA), all individuals with disabilities may request a mediator (an impartial third party) to facilitate communication and assist …
Don’t Fight These Arms
Mercifully, God’s grace is greater than our own rebellion. Patiently, He quells our stubborn, defiant nature and urges us to stop resisting. When we finally stop striving against Him and rest in His love then we realize His embrace is actually the safest place you and I could ever be.
Acceptance
I am so thankful Christ’s acceptance is not conditional. His sacrificial love is based not on my merit but on His mercy. He does not consider my flaws and blemishes. Celebrate the Victories
You may not feel like there’s much to celebrate right now. Yet          God reminds us that in Him we are victors. We won the battle against evil the day we accepted God’s gift of grace. Through His power – and not our own – we can celebrate daily victories over sin. When we say ‘no’ to temptation, we’ve won the victory. When we trust rather than worry, we’ve won the victory. When we surrender our will in order for His will to be done, we’ve won the victory. When we pray, we’ve won the victory. And all of heaven rejoices with us because each one of those victories, which might seem so small to you and me, are huge triumphs in the fight against evil. Every such victory is worth celebrating.
Rest for the Weary
My weariness was the result of too much ‘doing’ and not enough ‘being.’ When I stopped trying to rely on my own strength, my own wisdom, my own resources, and leaned into the One who fills me with all this and more, then the burden felt lighter and easier to bear. Because, ultimately, my struggles became His. And He is so much better equipped and able to deal with them than me.
Faithful Obedience
There is no greater service than to love, knowing that love might not be reciprocated. Some of our greatest feats may not be those seen by the eyes of men, but those perceived only by our heavenly Father who honors every little act of loving service performed in His name.
