In the face of everything that seemed wrong, Abraham clung to the promise he had been given. He didn’t understand the why or the how, but he knew the Who and that was sufficient for him.

RESISTING PEER PRESSURE
Over the years, I have realized that peer pressure will always be a part of life. I will pray for God’s guidance when tempted to follow what I know is the wrong path.
Of Wheelchairs and Woes
A trouble-free life has never been a part of God’s promise to us. Peter makes that abundantly clear when he says, “Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you” (1 Peter 4:12). What He did promise is that we will not be overcome and will never walk through trials alone (Isaiah 43:1-2).
Yet Will I Rejoice
Habakkuk discovered he needed much more than mere optimism. Instead, he recalled God’s promises. He knew that though his circumstances were beyond his control, they were not beyond God’s.
Home Run
Hebrews 12:1 reminds us that we also have a crowd of witnesses surrounding us. We aren’t alone in this race. On the sidelines, saints are pulling for us. Saints we know from the Bible, such as Abraham, Moses, and Joshua, along with loved ones who have gone before us.
