Oh, that I might always remember to step into His sacred presence with an attitude of humility, respect, and honor. Let me never get so ‘comfortable’ living in His grace that I lose sight of His holiness. For it is in recognizing my sinfulness in the light of His holiness that I am reminded how blessed I am to receive His pardon and His grace.

Just Say the Word
I fear that we sometimes forget we serve a holy God. Yet this holy, righteous God bestows grace upon grace. He does not do it because we are good or do good works, not because we have rank or power, not because we merit any good thing from His merciful hand. He does it out of pure love.
I Don’t Measure Up
You and I have a similar problem; we don’t measure up to God’s standards. The Bible tells us God is a holy God and He cannot look upon our sin. Therein lays the rub. No human being, other than Jesus, is without sin. When we measure our sinful nature against God’s holiness we fall short. But the Gospel doesn’t leave us without hope. On the contrary, God gave His only beloved Son as a sin offering. He took our sin, our faults, our shame, upon Himself so we might be cleansed from all sin. When God looks at us, He sees us through the filter of the cross; no longer stained by sin, but white as snow.
