Unrelenting Love
Guest post by author Lauri Lemke Thompson “I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for My anger has turned away from them.” Hosea 14:4 (NIV). “Once upon a time” (except this is a true story!) a God-appointed spokesperson named Hosea was told by the Lord to marry a prostitute named Gomer. Cheap Grace
The Book of Romans spells it out quite clearly. How can we claim God’s grace and forgiveness—knowing what it cost Him—yet continue to deliberately sin? When we fully grasp the extent of God’s grace and the price Jesus had to pay to redeem us, it is truly life changing.
A Quiet Soul
instead of stewing over the why, where, when, what, or how of life, the psalmist surrenders those questions in favor of quiet trust. He basks in God’s love, confident His heavenly Father will cradle him like an infant in its mother’s arms. Such contentment and peace is the upshot of knowing firsthand that God is trustworthy and faithful.
