A willing heart
Mary’s story is one of submission and willingness. She realized life would never be the same again, yet she accepted God’s sovereign purpose because she knew she could fully trust Him.
Weighed down
God is anything but indifferent, fickle, callous, or cruel. He’s not heartless, nor does He look the other way. On the contrary, God is a loving heavenly Father. He cares so much He sent His beloved Son to bear the punishment we deserve. And one day, He will bring justice to our broken world.
Son of the Most High
Jesus’ birth was not just some random act. Long before the world was made, God planned to send His Son. The intricate weaving of history, from God’s prophecy in Genesis 3:15 to the cross itself, are part of God’s wonderful plan. The God who hung the stars
The next time you step outside to look at the night sky, remember the depth of God’s love for you and how special you are in His sight. He came to this broken world and suffered for your sins. That’s how much the God who fashioned trillions of stars loves you.
Prince of Peace
Peace is not the absence of problems. Peace is not some sentiment we can dredge up from within. Peace is not a location we can flee to when life gets bumpy. Peace is a person; Jesus Christ Himself. Paul states in Ephesians 2:14, “He (Jesus) Himself is our Peace.”
Drab to fab
Christmas is about God bringing fab to the drab, light to the darkness, hope to the hopeless, and joy to the sorrowing.
When the time had fully come
Long before time began, God determined the moment He would send Jesus to our world. That time would not come too early nor too late. Jesus came at the right time, the right moment, and in the right place.
