As I snipped here and cut there, I was reminded of God’s work in my life. Sometimes God has to bend my will according to His purpose. Though most times it isn’t a pleasant process, I realize He has a design and a purpose for my future. I need to yield to His hand, assured that His plans are for good and not for evil and that the finished product will be stunning.

But God…
But God…. Two pivotal words that change everything. They bring light into our darkest nights. They offer hope to those who grieve. They provide strength to the suffering who aren’t guaranteed another tomorrow. They remind us God can redeem our failures. They transform the impossible into the possible.
The God who hung the stars
The next time you step outside to look at the night sky, remember the depth of God’s love for you and how special you are in His sight. He came to this broken world and suffered for your sins. That’s how much the God who fashioned trillions of stars loves you.
Prince of Peace
Peace is not the absence of problems. Peace is not some sentiment we can dredge up from within. Peace is not a location we can flee to when life gets bumpy. Peace is a person; Jesus Christ Himself. Paul states in Ephesians 2:14, “He (Jesus) Himself is our Peace.”
Drab to fab
Christmas is about God bringing fab to the drab, light to the darkness, hope to the hopeless, and joy to the sorrowing.
When the time had fully come
Long before time began, God determined the moment He would send Jesus to our world. That time would not come too early nor too late. Jesus came at the right time, the right moment, and in the right place.
The Gift and the Giver
God’s greatest gift to humankind was given to us at Christmas; His one and only beloved Son. Anyone – that means you and me – who believes in Him receives eternal life
When God is Silent
It’s a natural tendency to mistake God’s silence for inactivity. When we pray and fail to hear an answer, we are tempted to believe God doesn’t care, that He’s wandered off, or He doesn’t care. Nothing could be further from the truth. God works some of His most powerful deeds in the wake of His ‘silence.’
