It is tempting, at times, to believe that our jobs, our money, our health, our family, and our ministry are the fruits of our lifestyle, choices, and hard work. They’re ours, we’ve earned them. We hold job, salary, rank, title, in high regard. We set great store by becoming self-sufficient and self-sustaining. And this mentality cracks the door to pride.
