Set Apart

(I have posted this before, but I believe it bears reminding).

You can be sure of this:

The LORD set apart the godly for himself.

The LORD will answer when I call to him.

Psalm 4:3 (NLT)

            Set apart – my status

the godly – my identity

for himself – my purpose

I am not a ‘mistake.’

I was chosen long before the foundations of the world were laid (Ephesians 1:4). Chosen to be covered by Your grace and tucked under Your wing.

My identity and purpose are not found in who I am or what I accomplish. My identity and purpose are found in You.

I was created by You,

for You.

I am Your very own possession (1 Peter 2:9),

worth dying for.

I am forever enfolded in Your loving, merciful arms.

I am forever under Your divine care and protection.

            I am

Your beloved.
