Welcome!

And he will be called… Mighty God. Isaiah 9:6

I love to watch snow fall. As those tiny flakes of white perfection prance and frolic, I reflect on the Creator who fashions each one into a unique and exquisite design. Such intricacy and perfection boggle my mind.

More amazing than snowflakes is the truth that this mighty Creator, who could wipe out this sinful world in just one breath chose, instead, to set aside His heavenly privileges and take on human flesh so that we might receive forgiveness and eternal salvation. The same God who laid the foundations of the earth, who spoke the firmaments into being, who hung the stars in the sky, who poured the seas into their boundaries, who crafted storehouses for the snow, who blew life into you and me, came down to earth as a little, fragile, dependent baby.

Christmas is the visible manifestation of God’s unconditional love. The Creator comes to dwell among the created; Love Himself, willing to suffer rejection for the sake of our souls. Might confined to a manger. Creator curtailed to the form of a child. The paradox of grace as the Almighty indwells the womb He created and walks the earth He brought into being.

Love incarnate – this is the meaning of Christmas.
