Welcome!

In due time . . .

“In due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked for him from the Lord.” 1 Samuel 1:20 (ESV)

In due time . . .  I love those three words. They breath hope and expectation. They remind us that God is still at work. They assure us that God is never late.

In due time Hannah conceived . . .  I can’t help but wonder how many times Hannah wept and grieved her barrenness. How often did she cry out to the Lord, asking Him to remove her shame and bless her with a child? Yet all the while, God was watching and whispering, “Child, if only you knew the tremendous blessing I have for you just around the corner?”

What about you? Are you still waiting for God to answer your prayers? Are you still holding onto faith, believing that your heavenly Father can do abundantly above and beyond above what you ask or ever imagined?

Psalm 33:19 reminds us, “How abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you.” God isn’t holding out on you; He’s holding on to those blessings He will pour out upon your life – in due time.

Prayer: Lord, we don’t deserve your blessings. Yet you continue to pour out your grace and your love upon our lives. Help us to be patient when the desires of our hearts tempt us to rush ahead of your will and your perfect timing. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.

Thought: God gives us hopes and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn’t always allow us to see the exact timing of His plan – Joyce Meyer.
