Welcome!

God’s Beloved

But you are . . . God’s special possession. 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Long before you were conceived in the womb, God conceived you in His mind. Ephesians 1:4 states, “For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world.” Long before the earth was formed and the stars were hung in the heavens, He had you on His mind. When He came into our world as a child, you were in His heart. When He hung on the cross, you were the reason He chose the nails. When you surrendered your life to Him, He claimed you as His beloved, His special possession.

He loves you, not based on who you once were or who you will become. He loves you as you are right now. When He looks upon you, He sees someone of value, someone precious to His heart, someone worth dying for. He chose you, created you, and lavishes His love on you every moment of every day. No one can say “I’m an accident, an afterthought, a less-than or a has-been.” You are not just another face in the crowd. You were chosen and created on purpose and for a purpose.

So today, live loved. Walk with a spring in your step and your head high. Though the world and the enemy whisper lies about your identity, despite what you might be feeling right now, you are the chosen, the Beloved, precious in God’s eyes. You are of great value, God’s special possession, and no one can take that away from you.

Prayer: Today, I choose to live in the truth that You love me. I am so much more than what others see. I am far beyond what I see in myself. I am yours and that means I am the Beloved and treasured for all of eternity. Amen.

Thought: “You weren’t an accident. You weren’t mass produced. You aren’t an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Craftsman.”― Max Lucado.
