Welcome!

Get to Jesus

Some men took a man who was not able to move his body to Jesus. He was carried on a bed. They looked for a way to take the man into the house where Jesus was. But they could not find a way to take him in because of so many people. They made a hole in the roof over where Jesus stood. Then they let the bed with the sick man on it down before Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the man, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” Luke 5: 18-20 NLV

Luke chapter 5 recounts the story of a man who was paralyzed. Though his friends tried to get him to Jesus, they couldn’t because of the crowd. The four men could have shrugged their shoulders in defeat. They could have turned back. But they didn’t. Why? Because they believed, without a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus could bring healing to their friend. So they made an opening in the roof and let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

Whatever your present struggle, push past the obstacles. There will always be hindrances and hurdles in your way but don’t let them prevent you from seeking out the only One who can provide the healing and restoration your heart and soul so desperately need. Tear off the roof if need be, just get yourself to Jesus. Your future depends on it.

Prayer: Lord, today is the day I push through to you. No more excuses, no more defenses. Place your healing touch upon me and set me free. In your name I pray, Amen.

Thought: Tear off the roof, The King’s in the house, Just get me to Jesus, I don’t care how. I don’t have to wait to get the healing, I gotta faith without a ceiling, So tear off the roof ‘Cause the King’s in the house – Brandon Lake
