Welcome!

Cares

Guest Post by Author Kelly L. Hartley

Silence surrounds these old ears of mine,

Giving me no reason for which to whine.

My eyes have lost their bright vivid color,

This brings me not yet down to dolour.

The culture around me has shifted greatly,

Nothing reminds me of my youth lately.

Yet my spirit remains above the waters deep,

The darkness into my soul does not creep.

Wars of the world may be threatening,

Riots in the streets utterly disheartening.

Still my fervor for life is not diminished,

My race on this earth has not finished.

Every day of living gives us struggles,

This planet with green and cement jungles.

When troubles come to bring me discord,

My peace through faith is entirely restored.

I cast my cares on the One who Cares,

One who hears and answers my prayers.

He has His hand guiding me straight

It’s through His love, I richly rejuvenate.
