Welcome!

But the Lord . . .

“But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison . . .  the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made it succeed.” Genesis 39:21-23 ESV

I love those ‘But God’ moments. Throughout the Bible, we see countless examples of individuals who faced seemingly insurmountable challenges, only to experience a ‘But God’ moment that changed everything. For Joseph, his time in prison was a season of transformation; the arrogant teenager with a colorful coat and a big head was learning humility, acquiring leadership skills, and developing a personal relationship with God.

But God …  That’s the game-changer. It reminds us that no matter how dire our circumstances may appear, God’s power and purpose are at work behind the scenes. It encourages us to trust in His timing and His wisdom, knowing that He can turn our trials into testimonies. When faced with our own difficult situations, we can find comfort and strength in the knowledge that a ‘But God’ moment might be just around the corner, ready to bring transformation and hope into our lives.

Prayer: Lord, we thank you that you always have the final say. No situation is beyond your redemptive power. Though our circumstances may seem dire, remind us that you are always at work, weaving a greater tapestry of grace and redemption. Help us to trust in your timing and sovereignty, knowing that you are with us in every season of our lives. Amen.

Thought: Though Joseph’s life seemed to be falling apart, in reality, God’s plan was falling into place.
