Behind the Scenes

It’s been a while since I posted on my blog.

A lot has been happening behind the scenes, from rebranding to a completely rebuilt author website – thanks to my adult niece who is a whizz with website design and artistic to boot. So thankful to have her help as I am inept with that sort of thing. If you haven’t checked it out yet, go to www.ReneeVajkoSrch.com and scroll through the tabs to find excerpts (I hope to drop an excerpt from Book Two very soon), the list of books I have written and published as well as the links to find my books online.

I am still recuperating from an upper respiratory infection. My energy is slowly returning but I still sound like I have my head stuck up a drainpipe. Yesterday, I did some editing on a middle-grade historically novel I am writing, an offshoot that sprung up as a result of all the historical research I did for Tell No One (don’t worry, I’m also working on book three in the series!)

This seemed to kickstart my brain back into writing mode. Last night, I came up with two new plots for mystery novels: one as a stand-alone suspense novel, the other as a cozy mystery series. Apparently, rest does wonders for my brain!

I was thrilled to receive two awards for Tell No One, my very first mystery novel. Many of you have asked when book two in the series will be released. First of all, I can now share that the manuscript is with my publisher and progressing through the editing & proofreading process. Secondly, don’t forget to click on the ‘Follow the Author’ tab on Amazon. This allows you to receive notifications about upcoming book releases. While you’re there, drop a quick review. Good reviews are like gold to authors, so thank you in advance!

Here’s a little nugget from Book Two:

“Trust doesn’t come easy for most of us, dear,” Ruby said gently. “Trust is something we practice, one day at a time. And in a world where people can disappoint us, wound us, or fail to keep their promises, it is a saving grace to know there is One who never will.”
